I might have patched things up with the girl from Denver. I went over to her Dorm tonight and told her that I was really sorry about what was going on, and that I would really like to still be friends with her. It seemed to work out pretty well.

I was getting a lot of crap for not patching that thing up with her from her friends-which seem to be growing in number as the days pass. I would say hi to one of them in the hall, and all I would get was this look, “how can you be such a jerk?”

So, i guess that somehow it was all my fault that things got really weird, and it was still my fault that I hadn’t taken the initiative to apologize... or something.

At any rate, I’m just glad things are cool now. I really don’t want to deal with the drama right now. Having a girl-(friend, thing, WHATEVER) would be okay, as long as I don’t have to invest a lot of my emotions/time/thoughts into it... WOW that sounds really SHALLOW. I didn’t mean it that way. I just need to focus on my studies, and God, and if there happens to be a little left over energy than I might invest it in a girl. That still sounds bad, but that’s the cut of it.

...On another note, I’m really mad at myself for not getting into a certain band that rocks: Dashboard Confessional.

I avoided this band because I didn’t want to be trendy, or into the popular band. Sometimes you have to accept the fact that a band is popular because they are just plain good. Right now I love the song “As Lovers Go” from “A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Sar.” Hands down, this song is awesome.

I also got an official review of the Mountain Goats new album from ZZZ Record store owner, Nate:
“You might not like it... 1/2 of the songs are him singing a capella with a
brass quartet, and the rest of them are duos with Paula Abdul and occasional
rap interludes by Marky Mark.

OK, I'm kidding. I've only got through it once. I don't like it quite as
much as "Tallahassee" or "West Texas" at this point, but it usually takes me
a few listens to give it a good review. I'll probably end up really liking
it.”
