1. The page loads a lot faster 2. I can post without a lot of drama (baby’s momma or otherwise) 3. When I first started posting to this site, I went under the pseudonym “tim-may,” and I’ve kind of retired that name, and now I am going by my new art pseudonym, “slo_gun” 4. There’s this cool little picture that I drew and scanned in for my blog which I like. 5. When someone responds to my blog they can put their own little pic on their comment! Neat! 6. Wrinzay has been pushing me to do t...

So we’ve (Dr. Irish Chicago and I) have started a list of mean things we want to do to my future “random freshman” roommate. You see, at CCCB we have to have three people in every room, so it gets a little stuffy in this tiny little dorm room with two other guys. So Chris (my roomie from last semester) and I booted our last roommate out, and we’re going to have a new guy. We don’t really want to share our room with a third guy but the school says we have to – unless this guy (for whate...

I went to bed at 10:30 last night because I was up working on my Life of Christ class, but I couldn’t get to sleep because I kept tossing and turning thinking about how I needed to wake up at 3:30. Why would I need to do that? One of the elders at my church drives a semi-truck for a living almost every weekday. He usually drives from Klamath Falls to Eugene to purchase diesel fuel. Then he drives back and sells it in the area. We’ll call this Elder’s name B. He wanted me to see the ...

Last semester I was chillin’ in my room with my roommate. We were either at our respective desks surfing the net or something of that nature. I think I was trying to watch some stupid Chinese movie like The Blade , I dunno. Anyway, Chris turns around and gets my attention, so I say, “Whats up?” “Ummm, I don’t know how to say this so I’m just going to come right out and say it…” His tone was very serious. I look at him with my eye-brows all scrunched in like I’m trying to read the...

I just finished re-reading one of the greatest graphic novels of all time – and for that matter maybe one of the greatest pieces of literature. Background: In 1986 Allan Moore and Dave Gibbons broke every single rule to making comic books. I mean it. They didn’t stop for anything. A twelve issue run that lasted from 1986-87, and was published by DC Comics. You can pick it up in paperback at any fine bookstore. Let me tell you why this is amazing: 1. Alan Moore is a genius. 2. Dav...

I just got back from Ashland, Oregon, and boy are my arms tired! Oh that was stinking hilarious. I am the funniest person alive. Or not. Whatever. But the drive out there was absolutely beautiful. Today I went to this seminar on how to Evangelize via multimedia in teaching, or sermons, or anything else. The main message is that foreign missionaries look for stories that the natives have, and then parallel that to the Gospel. It’s not always a parallel, sometimes it’s an ex...

IT’S MEAGAN’S BIRTHDAY TODAY!!! She is 20, and still young (wink, wink). Happy Birthday sugar-beets-honey-toes-phatty-eyelahes-wonder-babe! Since I first used Meagan’s full name someone commented on how I shouldn’t do that. I like their advice, and so I will refer to her henceforth as “The Meagan.” I’m also going to replace all of the previous times that I have used her full name with this name. On to the story: So, Meagan and I hang out during an all-wide (Strong Bad reference [ww...

Lately I have been finding myself rather untrustworthy with my dreams. I just woke up from a nap where I was in a situation where I had to stab my way free from some sort of sick person who was keeping me captive. It was very nasty. I still feel sick. Like I can’t focus to type this. I would cut him, and he would keep coming at me. He had me backed into a place where I could barely escape, and he kept coming at me with new knives, and eventually I would take each knife away from him, ...

I met The Meagan in January of this year at Central Christian College of the Bible. I was asked to be in a ministry that was only going to be a month long all through February. I had to drive to Braymer, MO from Moberly to be at this ministry every Sunday night. The theme was purity, and I was in charge of the Junior High Boys. She was in charge of the Junior High Girls, and she didn’t have a car so we agreed that I would drive us there every Sunday night. We were also assigned to do...

So, here I am at Shasta Way Christian Church in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I’m sitting on my brand new Ruby Red Managers Chair, on my brand new EconomyMat (one of those plas-tech mats that you lay down on carpet so that your Ruby Red Managers Chair can move about without too much trouble). … Dave and I just got back from “calling” on people. I put calling in quotes because it can be a little troublesome to understand the definition of calling. Here at Shasta Way Christian Church it basi...

It seems that some of the music that I love best is the music that I have a visual memory of something when I listen to it. For example: When I pop in Weezer’s first album, blue (titled by their fans not the band itself) I vividly remember the night that Jason Fry drove Josh Furnal, Levi Dolan, and I to Kansas City from Joplin to see Waterdeep. The show went till about 12:30 when we set out to drive back home. Jason stopped for some food, and we were on the road to go back to Joplin....

Okay, So I’ve been as busy as a bumblebee as of late. That’s right: a bumblebee. In my CD player right now: “Living in the 90’s” disc 1, track 11, “Baby It’s Tonight” by Jude Cole. Who the heck is Jude Cole? One-hit-wonder I imagine. …track 10 was “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. We got our mid-term grades last Friday and I’m doing a smidge better than I thought I was. Here is the grand tally: Techniques of Teaching… B+ Restoration History…C SALT… “In Progre...

I'm typing from Josh's PC right now. Josh and I stayed up till 3:30 last night talking about theology issues. It was very refreshing. I wish I had him at CCCB (or vise-versa for me at Ozark). He will be graduating this December. This makes me think about a lot of things… There are a lot of things that I chew on about Christianity. You can say that I am a healthy skeptic. I question a lot of what I read in the Bible, but this only makes my faith even stronger than when I started quest...

The latest girl news: There is some anonymous reader who keeps commenting about my blogs, and wants to know more about my “love life.” So, about a week ago, “Denver” came to me and told me that her relationship with “Justin” was not going so well. Remember, that at this time we were pseudo-friends. I was still sort of rattled about our “falling-out,” but I was very anxious about being friends with her again. She’s just a really fun person. The fact that she came to me at all was kin...

I have seen the Passion, and It was worth the money to see it. You can't really say it was a good movie, because it didn't make you feel good at all. You can't say it was a bad movie, because it was done really well. I can say that I didn’t like all of the Catholic references. Here are some that I noticed (there may be more): 1. Satan’s baby in the scourge scene. This is very bad (the reference is if God had a son, then the antithesis would be that Satan would have a son, and Satan wou...
