I am above the LAW!!!
The party is on hold until I am done with college

Two years ago today I held my first annual Ground Hog’s Day party.
It consisted of a few major themes:

1. The movie “Ground Hog Day” would be watched, and enjoyed by a group of friends.
2. Since Bill Muray is in the movie, I thought it would be neat if I were to showcase other movies that Bill Muray stars in.
3. Since one of the girls on the invite list was really (no I mean it: REALLY) picky about the food she could eat we were going to have a baked potato bar! (she could eat potatoes as long as there wasn’t ANYTHING else on them).

The first year was pretty cool. We played cards, and some video games, and we watched “Ground Hog Day,” and “Kingpin.” Incidentally the girl that we had the potato bar for never showed up. The potato bar was a big hit though.

The second year was even better, with a larger potato bar, more people, and a few different movies. We played “Ghostbusters 2,” “Stripes.” “Ground Hog Day,” and a little bit of “Caddy Shack” but that movie didn’t go over very well. It might have been funny at one time, but it’s certainly not very funny now.

I’m at college now, and I don’t have the time, or the resources to continue the legend. I have been passing along the good cheer, but it’s not the same. I have full intentions of bringing the party back after I graduate.

Until further notice, the party is on hold

Did you at least watch "Groundhog Day" today?

Phantom,

Thanks for your inquiry!
Unfortunately I spent most of the day working on an annotated bibliography that was due the following day. I was up till 2:00 in the morning working on it, and as a result I only got four hours of sleep. So there really was no time for the Ground Hog Day movie. I am going home this weekend, so I might be able to squeeze it in!
Maybe I’ll have a mini-party.
