I am above the LAW!!!
My trip with B

I went to bed at 10:30 last night because I was up working on my Life of Christ class, but I couldn’t get to sleep because I kept tossing and turning thinking about how I needed to wake up at 3:30.

Why would I need to do that?

One of the elders at my church drives a semi-truck for a living almost every weekday. He usually drives from Klamath Falls to Eugene to purchase diesel fuel. Then he drives back and sells it in the area. We’ll call this Elder’s name B. He wanted me to see the state from a Semi-driver’s POV.

So he picked me up at 4:00am and we were on the road to Eugene. It wasn’t even light out yet. But that was kinda neat. I got to see some of the most beautiful parts of North America, while the sun was still rising on them! Can you picture amazing snow-covered mountains surrounded by huge pine forests and clear lakes under the morning sun light? This is a beautiful state. Period.

Well B is a pretty cool guy. We talked about a lot of things, and one of them was the possibility of me working here fulltime. You see, the pastor out here wants to retire in about three years, and they think that I would be a decent replacement. Heavy stuff…

We also talked about how there are no “Thank you for visiting” signs as you leave Klamath Falls. This is due to the fact that you can move or visit Kfalls, but it’s very hard to leave. In fact most of the people I have met with here are from all over the US, but the settled here a number of years ago. It’s just hard to leave…
